This is a well-balanced old vine block of Merlot right on the foothills of the Stags Leap District behind the Chimney Rock winery. These vines produce hallmark Stags Leap Merlot, that has the typical mouth feel and density that the sub region is known to produce.

Tasting Notes

Aromas of rich dark cherry and plum are beautifully layered with roasted hazelnut and subtle hints of black olive. The palate delivers on the promise of the nose, revealing luscious black plum and decadent chocolate complemented by warm baking spices and delicate notes of nutmeg. Rich and expressive, the wine offers depth, complexity, and a beautifully lingering finish.
