The Rutherford Hill Oak Knoll Merlot is produced from old vines, which enjoy more morning sun and a shorter afternoon than other Napa Valley regions. Sourced from the renowned Beckstoffer Vineyards, this Merlot is elegant, refined, and has a long velvety finish; quite a contrast to the depth and power of Stags Leap.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Dark red fruits are well integrated with a lovely complex roasted oak and cigar box spice.

Flavor: Dark red fruits of the forest are interwoven with roasting spices, cedar and cigar box. The tannins are supple, very long and elegant.
