2021 Carneros Merlot

Hailing from a beautifully managed Beckstoffer vineyard in Carneros with 25-year-old vines. Due to this site being right on top of the San Pablo Bay, these vines are at the fringe of Napa’s ability to make great Merlot. The natural cooling effect of the bay means that these vines are the last to heat up and the first to cool off every day, meaning they have the longest amount of time to ripen. The resulting wines are dense, rich, and highly layered.
